Welcome to SysOpNet: A Home Built by SysOps, for SysOps

Running a BBS is a labor of love. Whether you’re keeping a decades-old system humming or you just got your first node online, it helps to have people in your corner who understand the work.

That’s the idea behind SysOpNet, the newest FidoNet-style network (FTN) made exclusively for SysOps. It’s a home built by SysOps, for SysOps, and it welcomes everyone from beginners to seasoned pros.

What’s it for?

SysOpNet is a place to trade tips on software and hardware, troubleshoot problems together, share ideas, and compare notes on what’s working and what isn’t. If you’ve ever wished you had more sysops to bounce questions off of, or just wanted to swap stories with people who get it, this is for you.

Everyone has a seat

You don’t need years of experience to join, and you don’t need to be an expert to contribute. Newer sysops bring fresh perspective, veterans bring hard-won knowledge, and everyone benefits. The goal is a community where all of us can learn from each other and keep the BBS scene going strong.

Ready to join?

Signing up your node is easy. Head over to SysOpNet’s Node Application page to register, or stop by Pweck’s Retreat BBS at bbs.pwecksretreat.com:2332 and sign up there. Dial in, say hello, and see what we’re building.

Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you on the net!
